Empty your heart and quiet your mind.
Only then will you witness all things unfolding from emptiness.
Together, things arise. They come forth in great numbers.
Each returns to its roots: emerging, flourishing, dissolving back again.
This is the eternal process of return.
To know this process brings enlightenment.
To miss this process brings disaster.
Be still.
Stillness reveals the secrets of eternity.

All things return to the origin, the common source.
Lose sight of the source,
You stumble in confusion and sorrow.
When you remember where you’ve come from,
You naturally become tolerant, disinterested, amused.
Kind-hearted as a mother,
Dignified as a king.

When your mind is still,
When you are at one with the Tao,
You will accept what life gives.

Eventually, death will come.
Tao remains.
