I’m a freelance blogger who focuses primarily on the political and economic issues facing the millennial generation, which includes anthropogenic climate change, the automation of jobs, income and wealth inequality, American political paralysis, the fast expansion of the national security state, the militarization of American police, and whatever else seems relevant at the moment. My writing has appeared on Salon, VICE, AlterNet, .Mic and SpliceToday, and I’ve been interviewed on various radio and TV programs around the country.
For almost ten years, I worked as a waiter and bartender at venues in Massachusetts, New York City and Las Vegas. Those years as a stereotypical “overeducated underemployed” millennial deeply informed the issues and perspectives that I cover in my writing. I’ve written about my personal story at greater length for Salon and on my blog.
